Inspiration.
We hear the word a lot these days. Everywhere. But what is it?
How can you get inspired or find inspiration? That burn-in-your-gut kind of passion.
It’s not a destination. But it does begin a journey.
Here’s a few secrets about inspiration. If you truly delve into the possibilites, it will change your life.
Inspiration is not always instantaneous. Or manufactured. And it sure doesn’t come pre-packaged like this:
No, inspiration is more like this:
There inside you, all of the potential to be whatever you want to be, all of the energy to do whatever you want to do. Imagine yourself as you would like to be, doing what you want to do and each day take one step towards your dream. And though at times it may seem too difficult to continue, hold on to your dream. One morning you will awake to find that you are the person you dreamed of, doing what you wanted to do, simply because you had the courage to believe in your potential and to hold on to your dream. Let’s really take a close look at it.
What does it mean? Inspire.
Definition of INSPIRATION
It truly has a power all its own. Not a secret – but a secret-weapon. And this part is key:
It’s a circle. Not a vicious one. But an amazing cycle of energy. That repeats and builds and then again, inspires. So the cycle starts again – and once you start, you continue to find inspiration. And inspiration finds you. It’s an incredible ripple effect.
The above quote is from the very talented author that I find inspiring, Carolyn Rubenstein.
So what inspires you? Ask yourself. Right now.
- Make a list of things, places, events, people, actions, or anything specific that inspires you. You can capture that and refer to it. It can even be pictures.
- Just don’t let fear be the paint for your canvas of the undone.
- Celebrate and nourish your burning passions.
- Embrace uncertainty. Plant your dreams in a garden of possibility.
The journey that will unfold in front of you…. will certainly be inspiring.
